    Overview: The Heavy Equipment Operator Safety course follows a standardized training format based on competency-based training & performance testing on the type of equipment to be operated.

    Course Length: 4hrs | CFR Reference: 29 CFR 1910 & 1926 | Course Required By: OSHA

    Course Objectives: Upon completion of the Heavy Equipment Operator Safety course, the student should be able to:
    • Define terms associated with equipment safety and operations
    • Identify proper safety practices with regard to bulldozers, backhoes, front-end loaders and scrapers
    • Perform the required safety and operational checks for bulldozers, backhoes, front-end loaders and scrapers
    Written Exam: Written and hands-on competency will be evaluated at the end of each course.

    Retraining: As required.

    Location: Employer's worksite
