    *This course is part of CORE Training Day 1.

    Overview: During the Atmospheric Testing Awareness course, your duties conducting atmospheric testing are outlined as well as the possible hazards that can occur in a confined space. Also, you will learn about confined space awareness in a non permit confined space entry.

    Course Length: 2hrs | CFR Reference:  1910.146, 1915 | Course Required By:  OSHA

    Course Objectives: Upon completion of the Atmospheric Testing Awareness course, the student will be familiar with:
    • Confined space awareness
    • Permit required confined space entry
    • Atmospheric hazards
    • Physical confined space hazards
    • Electronic gas monitor operation
    • Bump testing procedures for electronic monitors
    • Types of gases able to detect
    Written Exam: Written and hands-on competency will be evaluated at the end of each course. Incorrectly answered questions will be reviewed with student to ensure understanding before completion of course.

    Retraining: As required.
