  • Electrical Safety for Non-Electrical Workers

    *This course is part of CORE Training Day 1.

    Overview: The Electrical Safety for Non-Electrical Workers training module meets Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines for training and awareness pertaining to practical safeguarding of employees in their workplace. This information is applicable to all electric equipment and installations used to provide electric power and light for employee workplaces.

    Course Length: 2hrs | CFR Reference: 29 CFR 1910: SUBPART "S", 29 CFR 1926 SUBPART "K" | Course Required By: OSHA

    Course Objectives: Upon completion of Electrical Safety for Non-Electrical Workers training, the student will be familiar with:
    • Description of basic principles of electricity
    • Typical electrical hazards and the types of injuries they can cause
    • Protective measures for avoiding personal injury from electrical hazard
    • General rules for responding to an electrical emergency
    Written Exam: Written and hands-on competency will be evaluated at the end of each course. Incorrectly answered questions will be reviewed with student to ensure understanding before completion of course.
