Day 1: Fall Protection End User
Dates: Held every Thursday Upon completion of this training, the student will be familiar with:
- Fall hazards
- Methods of keeping a worker from falling
- What happens during a fall
- Hands on demonstration of personal fall arrest system equipment
- Understanding self-rescue techniques
- The need to report fall hazards
- The importance of housekeeping
Day 2: Fall Protection Competent Person and Industrial Rescue
Dates: Held every Friday Fall Protection Competent Person
Upon completion of this training, the student will be one who is capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surrounding or conditions that are hazardous or dangerous to employees and is authorized to take prompt corrective action to eliminate them.
- Recognize when and where fall protection is needed
- Achieve 100% fall protection while working at heights
- Understand the fall protection hierarchy
- Select the right fall protection system for the job
- Proper use of the fall protection and rescue systems
- Care and maintenance of all the equipment in each system
- The importance of a plan before each job
Fall Protection Competent Industrial Rescue Upon Completion of this training, the student will be one who is capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surroundings or conditions that are hazardous or dangerous to employees and is authorized to take prompt corrective action to eliminate them:
- Fall hazards
- Methods of rescuing a worker that has fallen
- What happens during a fall
- Hands-on demonstration of personal fall arrest and rescue system equipment
- Understanding and selecting proper rescue techniques
- Prepare a proper rescue plan
- Anchorage requirements and rigging for rescue
