Rig Pass/SafeLand

Overview: The Rig Pass/SafeLand course is designed to provide new employees with a basic orientation of rig operations and safe work practices. After completion of this Rig Pass course, new employees should be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of, government agencies and regulations applicable to the work site, incident and environmental protection reporting procedures, general safety policies applicable to the work site, service contractor/customer working relationships and the employee's responsibilities. The SMS training center is accredited by the IADC.

Course Length: 8hrs | Course Required By: Employer

Course Objectives: Upon completion of Rig Pass training, the student will be familiar with:

General safety procedures
Hazard communications
Transportation rules and regulations
Rig Environment
Emergency response techniques

Written Exam: SMS requires a minimum score of 80%. Incorrectly answered questions will be reviewed with student to ensure understanding before completion of course.
